Manseryeok API

Send a birth date and time (plus gender and time zone) and get back, as JSON, the Saju natal chart — the four pillars (year, month, day, hour), computed from the solar terms — along with its analysis and the 10-year and annual luck cycles. Saju (Four Pillars of Destiny) is the Korean system that reads a life from these four pillars, and Manseryeok (the Korean Four Pillars calendar) is the calendar used to look them up. The product is called "Manseryeok", and the same response also carries the Saju Identity. Results are computed by rules, so the same input always gives the same result.

What it returns

The four natal pillars — for the year, month, day and hour pillars: the Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch, Five Elements, Ten Gods (the relationship roles each character plays toward you), hidden stems, Twelve Life Stages, Nayin and Sinsal (symbolic stars) (wonkuk)
Chart analysis — Five Elements balance, Yongsin (favorable element), Gyeokguk (chart structure), Day Master strength, combinations, clashes and punishments, and Gongmang (void) (ohaengBalance·yongshin·gyeokguk·strength·branchRelations·gongmang)
Luck cycles — the list of 10-year luck cycles (Daeun) with their starting age and direction, plus this year's annual luck (Seun) and how it relates to the natal chart (daeun·seun)
Saju Identity — hints for interpretation such as the Sinsal list, Gongmang, Samjae (three-year misfortune cycle) and a timeline (identity)

When the birth time is unknown

hour and minute are optional. If you leave out hour, the API does not assume noon; it drops the hour pillar instead. Analysis fields such as Yongsin, Gyeokguk and Day Master strength are still calculated, from the three pillars of year, month and day, and birthHour in the response is marked as based on three pillars.

Pricing

Manseryeok costs ₩50 per call (excl. VAT; ₩55 incl. VAT). Only successful calls are deducted from prepaid credits; 4xx and 5xx error responses are not charged.

Store a result once you have it, and reuse it. Sending the same request again is charged again. The same birth date and time with the same options always gives the same result, so save the first response in your database (for example, keyed by a hash of the request body) and use the saved value from then on at no cost. For results that change by date, such as a daily fortune, include the date in the key and reuse the result for that day only.
